Although I am using Mepis...
Warren has EVERYphukkingTHING on by default which can be annoying. Had to Google to find out about ksysv, install it (why it is not installed by default is beyond me) and shut a bunch of unused cr@p off. Then I had to manually install Sun Java to play games at an online site I have been going to for years with Windohs. That was a little confusing and a bit of a challenge but it did give me some 'under the hood' experience. Udf cdrw re-writing was just a big of a challenge but got it working (sort of). You can't copy and paste a folder to the disk, you have to create a directory on the disk first, then fill the new folder with items. I would be using Suse but they suck when it comes to multimedia and 'cutting edge' versions of major packages. My final complaint is the Xfree video is OLD AND SLOW (76Hz @ 1024 in Mepis and 85Hz @ 1024 in Suse by comparison, the X server was very tweakable in Suse). Hello Debian (Mepis is Debian based for those who don't know) people, lets get that Xorg workin', what's takin' you so long? Bottom line, if I was going to use an RPM based distro, it would be Suse and definitely not Fedorka. I have had nothing but trouble with Red Hat and Fedorka (I will never get those wasted nights back, the b@$+@rd$). >:-]
