- unfortunately i never like wordperfect all that much. and i've worked on

almost every word processing app. my favorite of all was word6. then office 95 came out and trashed it. it's been bloatware ever since. my second favorite was clarisworks. but the only way to use that is to pay way too much for the OS it needs to run.
my main beef about wordperfect was that it wanted to do everything automatically. there were no manual overrides for a lot of things i wanted to do. i guess i was really wanting a typesetting program. so i just gave up on it. it had nothing to do with the M$ monopoly. unfortunately it was just a matter of bad programming.
then they tried to ride the linux wave and lost their shirt.
now they're doing the sco shuffle.
too bad.
