the word was that drdos was buggy
but it turned out that microsoft was deliberately making
windows hang with drdos.
Perhaps WordPerfect had a hard time developing for windows. I
can imagine if I was nefarious and in microsoft's position, I'd
keep changing lots of crucial API specifications (for their apps,
but not hidden ones for MY apps).
Particularly making WYSIWYG difficult would make quite a
difference.
Things are not always as they seem, and Microsoft has a proven
history of screwing other people's software: OS/2, DrDOS, BeOS,
etc. In other words, their pattern of corporate behaviour makes
the cause of this complaint not only beleivable, but probable.
