Who was Clippy's competition
The problem with Clippy is that no one is in the area of Office Assistant. Much like Microsoft Bob, it is an un-needed product that Microsoft was trying to shove down the throats of users.

All that I have mentioned earlier are already established vendors.
As for Competition. Competition is a beautiful thing as long as you don't have a company with an extremely unfair advantage such a Microsoft.

This would be like if GM started selling their tires on their vehicles when their vehicles dominated the market.

All of a sudden, all of the tire vendors that aren't GM don't have a a place except for after market, or the rare minority of people who want better tires on the car instead of the ones that the car comes with. And no, for some strange reason, you can't seem to get a car without tires.

Though this example is fictitious, it does point out how Microsoft has used their marketshare to dominate the Software Market.

Once again, I feel that the OS company should have to forfeit all of their Application packages if they are going to continue to use them to push out competition.
