Developers get taste of Intel-based Macs

Software Obsolescence: Interesting background on the National Socialist movement ... don't quite see the complete connection to Macintosh on Intel, but that okay.

A fair (to mediocre) reason for delaying is the fear that the software bought today will be obsolete after the Intel-Macs comes out -- if I have to replace my Mac in two years, any software investment in the mean time is lost.

That said, it should really depend on where in the obsolescence cycle your current system is (and how frequently you normally replace your system). If my current system runs the current apps okay, but I would normally look to upgrading in the next 3 to 6 months, I probably will hold out a little longer for the Intel Macs. If I'm at the end of a short refresh cycle, I would purchase now and not worry about it.
