Great analogy. It would be nice if others could see it that way. And your right about manufacturers including some kind of media player. Manufacturers and ISPs used to distribute Netscape before Windows 98 tied IE into the OS. Even my Comcast CD, which I got this year (though I didn't really want it) had NIC drivers and a browser update on it. Inclusion is not the issue. It's removability.
