The G5 is BY NO MEANS A SLOUCH. I will take a new dual 3.0
Ghz G5 over a (version 1.0) dual 3.8 GHZ Mactel. I am in IT! I
know how rolling out new HW goes. LOL!

Folks will be kicking out dual binaries for YEARS to come. Do
have ANY idea how many people STILL use OS9 on G3's?
Seriously... unless you are game oriented and worried about no
PPC ports then, yes, it may be an issue. I do audio and video
ALL MY PROFESSIONAL TOOLS are compiled for PPC. You think
they are going to tell me to "look elsewhere" next version. I
don't think so. They, on the other hand will be HARD PRESSED
to get their INTEL version out the door, bug free, in less than a
year. All apps ain't written in XCode and TONS of folks have
LOTS and LOTS of work (programming) to do.

In 4 years when they shake all this out and have dual or quad 6+
Ghz PowerMacs... I'm sure, it will be fine.
