My laptop comes pre-installed with Windows XP.
I got my laptop from Toshiba.

I don't use Linux and I don't like it. I chose Windows because of stability, ease-of-use and the look of GUI in Windows XP. I'm not going to move over to Linux because I don't like the look of the GUI (I think I saw some of it in some of the screenshots when I read reviews about Linux) and the second reason is if I move to Linux, I won't be able to run Microsoft products like MS Office, Visual C# .net, etc. and third-party products like ZoomText Screen Magnifaction software, 3D GameStudio, etc. So, anyway, I've grown fond of Windows so Linux is useless to me.

I've payed $30 for McAfee Virus Scan (of course it also came with McAfee Firewall the day McAfee have made an offer on saving $30 by buying McAfee Virus Scan and get McAfee Firewall free) and $30 for Spy Sweeper. I've paid ~$2000 for the laptop last year. My laptop comes with an Intel Pentium 4 with 256MB, 40GB HD, ATI Radeon Mobility, and Windows XP Home.
