Say what?
So all "minorities" should simply give up on life?

Saying "Apple is 100% monopoly in the niche market" is a rather trivial observation - any company is a 100% monopoly of their own customers. Heck, Red Hat is a 100% monopoly in the niche market of Red Hat users.

You also seem a bit confused - you don't like Apple's "monopoly", yet think they should cease to exist because they are a "minority".

"competition is the engine of progress"

But if all minorities should disappear, who will offer competition?

"Mac OS X and Apple hardware (except iPod) are available only for Mac. The result - Mac is fighting for existence on 3% of the market."

Let's see: Windows 3.1, 95,98, 2000 and XP (32 bit) run exclusively on i386 architecture, yet Windows is 95% of new PC sales. NT was available on multiple platforms, but never sold in any volume on anything other than i386.

Funny how your logic doesn't work here. Gee I love a well thought out, carefully written post.
