- When did one of these mergers ever work?
- I can't help but be skeptical regarding Sun's acquisition of STK, given the history of tech company mega-mergers. Especially if you consider the underlying reason...namely, since we can't grow organically, we can grow via acquisitions. Sounds like the two rock theory, (if I tie these two rocks together, they should float!). Sun has struggled for years to establish a viable storage strategy and while this move may help, the signs are not encouraging.
