Look at it this way
My Perspective.

I currently am in an IS Staff of 4 where 14 could probably be utilized.

Many times, to get data in the way that the users want it, they will pull schedules and manipulate them in excel so that they can present them as they see fit. With XML, I will be able to push this back up the the mid-range machine without any troubles instead of the antiquainted macros that they use now.

So, no, they don't use XML yet, but they more than likely will. Microsoft has killed their Macro functionality with newer versions, so something else will have to be devised. Hopefully this will provide them a means to advance.
