It's the very thing so many have asked for.
From Sally the secratary to Joe the head IT guy, people have asked for XML in Office. The cry of incompatible file formats restricting data simply no longer hold water. Anyone wishing to obtain a license to it's use is more than welcome and it costs nothing.
