Red Hat Subscription is a bad example
Compare this to SuSE or other products too. Bit, your only picking out the most successful Linux vendor in the US, think bigger.

That, and the kind of free support that MS offers is pretty much the same as you can pick up from Redhat Websites. Real MS support generally runs at an outrageous hourly rate.
