Not really...this is pretty interesting, IMO.
I can't certify that it wasn't posted before...but I haven't read it. And I find it interesting, because a couple years ago, all the momentum was behind Eclipse, to the point where I wondered how much differentiation there'd be between tools.

It now seems that the tool vendors have woken up and smelled that coffee. They want to retain their *different* products, while making project settings portable between tools, and making plugins interoperable. This is a big shift from trying to make everyone start from a base IDE, and one I welcome.
