Sorry again, Jim but
removing the code won't work. Software patents cover the idea rather than the actual object. This is of course the reason that software patents should have never been granted in the first place.

Patents are supposed to cover individual objects, which is why we have so many patents on the same subject.

Copyrights are supposed to cover expressions of ideas.

If we live long enough, Congress my finally get it right; just dont hold your breath.
