Russia and China are important to the U.S.
Their isn't a G.D. thing the U.S. needs from Russia or China

The U.S. is relying on China to help contain North Korea (you remember, North Korea, the ones claiming to have recently developed nukes that have been testing missles?)

U.S. also relies on China for inexpensive goods. Americans will complain if they go to Wal-Mart and everything is 50% higher than it was before the tariff.
