The average Indian still can't afford US goods and services. The Indian IT worker is getting close, but even at the top end of the range, can't really afford US cars. They can probably pick up our lost cost trinkets. But, given the amount of money flowing from the US to India, the US is only getting a SMALL fraction of that back.

As for your "equal value" argument, that is totally bunk. US goods and services are the best in the world. However, they are not necessarily the cheapest like they are in India. Once India gets up to the quality of the US, then maybe we can talk about trading for equal value.
