Study: Web users ditch the browser

until you have to pay to access it...: "I don't care if the information is on my hard drive or on a machine halfway around the planet."

I do care a lot. Things like my fiscal or identity card number (we have that here in Europe), or even my address book, will never be stored in the web under my permission. Once I read somewhere that the most simple and effective measure against information theft and piracy is to keep an eye on your stuff, in the "physical" sense of the expression.
