The wave of the future...
As more and more applications and even the Operating System itself becomes more "internet aware" the need for a dedicated browser will decline into the "remember when" catagory and that is as it should be.

I don't care if the information is on my hard drive or on a machine halfway around the planet. I simply want to be able to access it easily and include it in what ever work I happen to be doing.

Heck, I don't drop to a cammand line to move files around anymore either...
