Best Databases do not exist
There just is no such thing. Oracle is great, if
you need all those features. It is also slower
then mysql in most cases. I wouldn't dream of
using oracle for a web backend, mysql is the
thing to use. I also wouldn't dream of using
mysql for transactional mission critical stuff.
Can't beat oracle there.

I belive you have to look at what it is you need
to do and then decide what database you realy
need. In it's league mysql is one of the best
there is as oracle is in it's league.
