Microsoft got off their convictions in the DoJ trial with a settlement that imposes minimal punishment. To ignore even that simply allows them to return to their bad old ways and makes a mockery of several years of litigation in which it was proven that they illegally leveraged their monopoly. And here they are doing it again.

The settlement is the settlement. I don't like it, but it's there and it stands. If Microsoft can't abide by it, trivial as it is, then yes, they deserve to be prosecuted.

Given the simple functionality that this thing offers (as described in this article), why is it IE only? Why would MS risk court action over such a trifling feature?
