There is nothing wrong with Outsourcing IT to a dedicated company...
Please note I'm NOT talking about offshoring here...

HOWEVER, both the Contractor and Customer MUST see eye to eye on _everything_.

Proper plans must be put into place.

Proper expectations must be set.

Realistic SLA's must be established.

It can, and does work. I've been doing it for some 15 years. If both sides are reasonable in their expectations, and everyone performs as expected, it can be a fine partnership.
