No argument there. This is definitely geared toward businesses, although I think it is safe to say that many small- and medium- size businesses may have a use for the product, and not just huge companies.

Most likely, those were NOT the beta testers, though.

Think about it; 600,000 testers isn't hard to come by. Add up all of MS worldwide and you probably easily have close to 100,000 beta testers. Find a few other large companies who are big customers of yours and have good deals going with you and you hit your mark pretty quickly.

Can't imagine many home users actually needing to do this upgrade, other than to maintain compatibility with what they use at work. For most in this category (including many business users), if you have already purchased a product (whatever it may be), there really is no need to upgrade to anything (be it a new version of MS Office or StarOffice or OpenOffice or anything else).
