What's wrong with Sun?
I don't want to turn this into a Unx (or Linux) vs Windows debate, but what is it about Sun that brings about nausea?

Do you have Unix expertise and are speaking from an objective view, or do you lack any Unix knowledge and speak out of fear of what you do not know or understand?

Back in the early 90's, I had a boss who preferred Foxpro over Paradox, and had me convert Paradox apps to Foxpro. Why? He didn't know Paradox, so his preference was subjective. Admittedly, Foxpro was superior, but I made that determination objectively because I was qualified to do so.

What systems have you developed for either platform? What is their complexity? Heck, our company is evaluating provisioning and deployment tools like Opsware, and guess what? The "core" server MUST be a Solaris box, because it is just so much more flexible for programmers and integrators.

Those of us who have a thorough understanding (as users and programmers) of both platforms do not say that Microsoft software "rules man, just does." This claim needs to be substantiated with evidence.
