Mixed emotions for me and my rep...
My rep and I attended this demonstration with mixed emotions. On the one hand, we support everything Microsoft does to the extreme because the software, as my rep puts it, "rules man, just rules". On the other hand, seeing Solaris servers mad me ill. I took some anti-nausea medicine before the demo but it did not completely help. We do not run any Sun software anywhere and I have effectively killed off any partners running Sun stuff as well. But our board of directors is not happy over the revenue shortfalls and has told me I might need to be more flexible on this topic. My rep assured me that Steve Ballmer still believes Windows is the best and that I should continue to undermine any movement within my company to access other servers. Ballmer, my rep and I had banana milkshakes and disucssed this before dinner.
