I used SuSE 9.2 as well. Trust me the upgrade to 9.3 is awesome. Yes the system boots slow and yes Open Office and Firefox are sluggish to open, but once open they perform just fine. No I can't play extreme games. Yes I can use the Gimp.

I am willing to meet in a public place and let you see the machine yourself. Unless of course you are afraid of being proven a fool.
