I suppose someone who dislikes MS will view at that way. Perhaps there is some truth to that. My view is MS needs to participate in the emerging market and where inexpensive Linux has established itself.

Totally disagree, but again, I'm not married to Linux to make such a claim. I find it amusing you see MS competing in a given market segment (in this case the low end) as "pushing growth companies out of business", yet, Linux entering the high end desktop as merely competing. Is your bias that transparent to you?
