Only for 3rd World?
I have to say that Microsoft is a piece of crap once again. Asides from making money, can they name one reason for disallowing it to run on Pentium 4s and AMD Athlons? Why are consumers with better machines forced to overpay for features they never asked for?

I don't understand why *nix bashers support such actions and why Microsoft is being such a sh*t. They just harm themselves and consumers who are hooked on their substandard software by overcharging for the product. Those who chose piracy over overpaying commit theft -- or rather steal from the thief. The good news for the pirates is that probably someone out there will NOP out that whole CPUID checking function.

The Linux geeks on this site will obviously point out that Windows is not worth it and you better accept the valid point instead of boohooing about how nobody cares and how nothing works on Linux (even though you wouldn't know because you never used it and take the FUD for truth). Besides that kind of attitude won't make Microsoft products any better or make window managers any easier to use (even though XFCE, IceWM, Gnome and KDE do a fairly good job of being user-friendly).
