Well as has been noted by others in reply to your post, Linux provides what these people need. Linux actually provides what 80% of the users out there need. And it does it at a fraction of the cost AND without the added expense and trouble of AV, Anti-Ad ware, Anti-Spyware.

The only AV I run is Sophos in K-Mail so I don't accidentally send an infected e-mail to the poor sods using Microsoft. Otherwise, I have been running without AV for Linux since 99'

Bottom line is Linux is good enough now. It's short sighted people like yourself that are causing slow adoption. What are you afraid of? Saving money and time?
