We don't have all of these problems with Linux.
You can run Linux on anything processor you want. The number of open programs is only limited by the ammount of memory and disk space. Networking, file sharing and printing are not limited with Linux.

Seems to me, Microsof knows that people will replace the stripped down version with a pirated full version, they just do NOT want them to get a computer with Linux pre-installed and find out they like it. Even if only 10% kept Linux instead of pirating Windows, Microsoft is desperate to prevent a critical mass of Linux desktops.
