Flude is in denial
"It must be frustrating when your BS isn't believed at face value. Life is so much easier in the windows world where incompetence is readily accepted, even admired."

I didn't expect you to believe me. You are a linux fanboy. Life must be difficult in the linux world where you show off your non-impressive white collar heroic knowledge and 90% of the people don't care.

"Yes, MS has provided a solution to the EC to comply with the directive to remove WMP, we knew that from the beginning. Try and keep up! But this wasn't your claim, was it?"

It was one of them. You claimed earlier that breaking QT or Real doesn't constitute a full functioning version of XP client. What did you expect when the EC ordered all of WMP out of the client including registry settings. Out means out! Cannot have it both ways. There are no AutoCAD settings in my registry on a fresh install. You are illogical.

You claim open source doesn't have access. They do. They just cannot get it for free and this is what is holding the whole thing up right now.

http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1754344,00.asp

"Microsoft's licensing terms for its Windows server protocols explicitly block Linux, Samba and other projects covered by the GPL from taking part, according to Carlo Piana, a partner at Milan law firm Tamos Piana & Partners, which represents FSF Europe."

To me that is not blocking. They just cannot afford it according to Carlo. Nevermind the fact that customers to receive an install of Samba are going to pay for it even if they get freebies from MS. Isn't life a ***** when stuff isn't for free? Suck it up guys.

http://uk.builder.com/manage/business/0,39026582,39242538,00.htm

A later link and they are still complaining and MS is going to offer discounts. Another thing is MS doesn't want the protocols distributed under open source.

"No_Facts claim was the ruling keeps changing, clearly it hasn't. OSreintall pipes in to support No_Facts with some "no facts" of his own and claims i) EC forced them toremove the libraries and that broke QT and Real Player, and ii) code required by directive for workgroup interoperability."

They didn't even start fining MS. There is a change of plans. Did MS have to put in some DLLs and registry settings to make Real happy? More changes. I believe the EC is finding out it is not as simple as you think. As for code, I believe Samba will pay something for interoperability. You will have free Samba and Commercial Samba. Just like AdAware.

"Your link only proves my "Show Me!" post was correct, that MS has found a solution which the EC is happy with. No "shotdown" suggestions by the EC, no EC demanding libraries be removed that break QT (etc)."

I showed you that you were wrong. Must not like the link from MS. They were ordered out. You are in denial.

Remember MS EU pays more in taxes than those non-profits or Nix service companies combined. They are not going to punish them hard. You are the delusional one.
