True, Red Hat is no slouch, and MS knows they can't destroy the source.
What would be the point of killing Red Hat if the source code lives on and can be picked up by another company. Heck, there is already an army of people compiling and repackaging RHEL. Microsoft is more likly to attack open source in general with intelectual property that they are amassing. Not sure how they will attack, but they have over 50 billion to use, and everything to lose. They are like a cornered animal. They will fight to the end. This will be bloody. This is exciting.
