Lock yourself in and get screwed.
Why pay hundreds of thousands per year for secrataries doing basic word processing and a spreadsheet now and then? Deploy OpenOffice to the masses, and then buy the best tools for the job (NOT MS Office) for people doing publishing, or other things not supported by a generic office suite. In the end, MS Office is just a generic office with a ton of glitter thrown in. OpenOffice is a generic office suite without the glitter. People waste lots of resources trying to do specialized tasks with MS Office, such as publishing.
