If someone came from Albuquerque, would you consider it a telling point to order him to go back to Albuquerque?

The point that US policies could better benefit US citizens loses focus if one mixes in hostility to those who benefit from errors in current policy.
I want the attention to be on the resources and opportunities that should be made available to people in the US, particularly older people. And not on rejection of those who come to the US from elsewhere.

By the way, he does have two valid points.
First, the INS may be the most frustrating, chaotic and time wasting outfit in the US government, despite the competition.

Second, the US school system is far less rigorous, particularly in the early years, than are other school systems. And they should be. Because the children are going to have to take a test before they are 20 years old that will determine the course of the rest of their lives. Unless they are very lucky.

The implicit attitude behind those tests is, there are plenty of people, and the ones we don't need we can toss aside. Yes, that's overstated, but imagine how the children feel.

Life everywhere has downsides. That doesn't mean we can't complain about them. As my daughter said, "Human society exists so that someone will hear our complaints."
