Faster Development Was A Reality For Us
I work for one of the largest healthcare companies in the US and we?ve used TenFold?s technology since 2001. We wanted to replace an internal database application that was outdated and internal estimates were for 1-2 years of development. Using TenFold consultants, initial development took 3-4 months with fewer staff.

Probably the best aspect of the technology is how quickly you can iterate. Changes requested by end-users can be made in hours or days rather than months. This also helps in the initial development cycle when end-users really don?t know what they want. You take less time to put together the working initial model, and then they start to figure out what would really be useful and you change it. Having a working version implemented quickly is much more efficient than the old model of exhaustively documenting requirements just to have the end-user realize once it?s finally implemented that it?s not what they really need.

Another high point in our use of EnterpriseTenFold came when a VP wanted to make some of the data we develop available to external customers via the web. Rather than going back to the drawing board, we simply setup the BrowserClient functionality and used existing transactions previously developed, but now published to the web. We were able to show the VP this capability within days of the initial request since that?s already built into the product.

Obviously, no software is perfect, but we?ve been impressed by the breadth of functionality and stability offered by TenFold. It?s worth a look if you value fast turnaround time in development and the ability to quickly make changes going forward.
