1/10 Product is good until you upgrade or need support

patman98 - 06/26/09

I loved the product until I registered it and tried upgrading the maps. After hours of downloading and update transfer from the pc to the unit I found the maps were wiped clean and the GPS became an expensive paperweight. I am on the phone now with Garmin "support". It's bee 1hour 27minutes. After 50 minutes I spoke with someone who put me in a queue promising it would not take as long to reach the next person. At this point I'm betting he was wrong. Checking online it seems I am not the only one who has had this experience. I feel sorry for the ONE person manning the support phones at Garmin. He must face a lot of abuse because the company refuses to take Customer Support seriously. I'm going to take this thing back and buy from a company that respects it's customers.
