This drive does not work with sleep mode. After a month of writing to Seagate support, their answer was to connect the drive to a pc to change its sleep settings. I found a comment by another user that the settings only work until you reboot the mac. Seagate is guilty of false advertising and incomplete software. DO NOT BUY AT ANY PRICE FOR A MAC.
