2/10 Horrible

randomness182-23187928208672638504810326155039 - 10/31/09

I bought this on discount at Sam's Club, always hearing how wonderful HP printers are. I don't particularly care for their computers anyway, but I said 'what the hell' and just bought it. I've owned this for around a year and have already had to exchange it once because the scanner began making a sort of sickening grind, as if plastic gears were rubbing against each other. Now that I've replaced it, I'm now having MORE scanner problems. Now it seems to not want to scan at random, in which case the entire printer stops responding and must be unplugged. Print quality is actually quite impressive (which is the only thing that saved it from a rating of 1 out of 10), but doesn't seem very efficient on ink (keeping it from making a 3 out of 10). If I can summon the energy to box it back up and return it AGAIN, I just might. Otherwise, I'll just wait until the ink cartridges go empty and then I'll give it to the Salvation Army or something.
