9/10 Good gaming monitor

countrylilly - 09/22/09

Got the Benq G2412HD a couple of weeks ago and use it mainly for gaming. As it comes with an HDMI port I can easily connect a gaming console. I have the PS3 but the Xbox 360 would be possible, too. In terms of technical specifications, this monitor has a resolution of 1920x1080 which is Full HD 16:9. So, blu-ray content and Full HD games do really look great there. I got the monitor for $230 which is really a good bargain IMO. For this price the device has everything what you need. And picture quality is really good, sharp and colors are strong and bright. Thumbs up for this one.

8/10 Great BenQ Full HD Monitor!

MartinW3 - 11/14/09

I recently decided it was about time to change my old 17 inch LCD monitor, and actually decided that since I recently upgraded my rig, but ran short of cash, I had to wait for the monitor change. As for my monitor change, I wanted to change the set up, I wanted to upgrade it to a dual screen set up since my video card permits it, and since I enjoy multi-tasking and photo editing. Do not fret, as I have the new Intel i7 and 8 gigs of Physical Ram, so my computer is a power house haha! On the side, of course I also enjoy playing video games. MMO?s, FPS, RPG, strategic games like Warcraft or Command & Conquer series, I play them all. So the second out of the two new G2412HD monitors I have is connected through HDMI with my Xbox360 when I decided to game on my console. If I don?t use the Xbox360 the second monitor is a spare monitor for extra viewing space for editing. Of course for the primary G2412HD I use as my main computer monitor. I enjoy the HDMI capabilities as it simplifies my life a lot. I stay many hours in front of my screen, for school, work, and gaming, so the monitor is my life. Sure I?m well aware that the G2412HD is no IPS paneled monitor, but for a TN panel monitor, the G2412HD is a great monitor. For the price and what it officers, which is clarity (1920x1080), good colors, brightness, connectivity, and nice design, I don?t think there is much more someone can want. After all I would say it?s a excellent monitor from BenQ!
