1/10 Samsung-A Company to Avoid!

Spidey1 - 03/26/09

Purchased an ML-1630 for a client in mid-November. After 7 days, my client stated that the printer had blinking lights and would not print. An error message on-screen indicated a low-temperature issue. After invetigating the issue, it appears that the heating assmembly in the fuser failed. During the initial call to Samsung, I was asked to provide a credit card number to do an exchange. I asked for an RMA and a label to the repair depot. I was told that a box and a label woud be arriving shortly. Samsung was called four times more. Finally after calling the Executive Customer Relations Department, a rep sent me the label for a return. They received the return on December 17, 2008. On March 26, 2009, I finally got ONE person to get a printer shipped back to me...and it will not have a warranty extension nor even a new warranty since they machine has been in their posession for over 4 months. The client has already had to purchase another printer. Over 10 hours of time spent on the phone with inept customer service reps. I have advised all clients to avoid a purchase of ANY Samsung product, especially printers. AVOID SAMSUNG. THEY ARE NOT HONORING THEIR TERMS OF WARRANTY SERVICE. Rating is a ZERO.
