9/10 Artisan 50 - excellent photo quality

Jessops - 09/26/09  (Edited: 09/26/09)

At first I bought HP D7560. I liked the printer because of the card memory slots and big LCD display. But to print a really good picture I needed to adjust lots of things, like brightness (+20) and yellow (-5). But then I decided to give Artisan 50 a chance and without any adjustments at all, right away I was able to print a picture that was obviously better then HP! Black is truly black and the skins tones are much more pleasing. The printer is faster too, and using Epson Premium Paper (4stars) it delivers great results. The cost of running it currently unknown, but I will add it later, as soon as I finish the original cartridges. PS. 1. Be careful and do NOT use generic ink - it will damage the head of the printer. 2. Do NOT try to use Fuji papers - it's 100% NOT compatible. 3. If you want to save on paper buy 8x11.5in 50 sheets and cut it. You will get 100 sheets of 6x4 and 50 sheets 5x7. 4. Experimenting with the printer (= different color adjustments) cut 5x7 into two 5x3.5..it will save you money:)
