1/10 2-Wire 2701HG-B questionable reliability

I purchased my first 2701HG-B in April of 2008. I moved to a new home within the same city. My phone number changed. I purchased the 2701HG-B after being told by AT&T that the NetGear modem/router I had been using would not work with the new installation. My NetGear had worked for almost three years without as much as a hiccup. My first 2-Wire modem lasted a few months, dying in July of 2008. Luckily, I was still in the warranty period and received another one in exchange for the broken one. Well, it?s 6 NOV 2008 and the second modem is dead in the water. It powers on, but there it does not connect via the DSL line or the ETHERNET connection. I tried resetting he modem, and still nothing. I think it is fried inside. Let the buyer beware when considering this modem.
