IBM and Sun: Is it about the hardware or the software?

the only question is...

Would sun change its ticker from Java to something else?
We need a big name like IBM to dominate the server market and eliminate M$ from the data center.
Once this is done, just put a free and nice Linux distro on the desktop and M$ is dead on the business side!
