You know, I'm really beginning to realize that the "reliability" of "the cloud" isn't just about having a gazillion servers with super-redundancy or whatever.

It's about all of the pieces working together. And it's only as reliable as the weakest link. Your cloud provider can be 99.99% reliable, but that won't matter much if your ISP is 95% reliable, or if you forget to recharge your notebook and end up with 80% reliability because you forget so often.
