Verizon version crippled again?
I tested the VZW Touch Pro when I was shopping around for a new phone earlier this year, and the performance limitations VW had imposed on the device were incredibly disappointing. I'd seen videos of the Touch Pro on other carriers where everything was slick, sleek, and responsive. On VZW, the Touch Pro was slow and sluggish. I'm sure the weaker processor and half the baseline RAM affected that, but after 15 minutes of playing with it I'd found that the average response time switching views from portrait to landscape was 5 seconds, and the average response time for pulling out the keyboard to having an input window was 3 seconds.

The Omnia was the most responsive device I tested in the store, and begrudgingly I chose that. I went in with my heart set on getting the Touch Pro, but on Verizon, it was just too crippled to be effective. Hopefully VZW has learned from that mistake.
