Why couldn't they made the N97 more like the N900? It has nearly the same form factor and they are practically the same thing with the difference being more processing power.

I own an N97 and it is actually okay. Just that the UI needs more work. I personally think they should have made the N97 with the N900's specs with Maemo in it. I believe that in a sense Symbian is whats holding back Nokia to a certain extent as they have to cater for their longtime users. Maemo would give Nokia a fresh start to experiment and improve the user experience.
