The Logic of HD Appreciation
I struggle with myself about how important HD is to me. I'm comfortable watching SD and am not devastated when I go to an SD TV after watching an HD one. However, when I go to a TV displaying particularly striking HD pictures immediately after watching an SD TV I'm blown away. And sometimes while simply watching an HD programme I make a mental note that I'm enjoying the HD quality when it stands out but it can be quite confusing as there are so many factors affecting the image that I may not actually be watching HD at its best most of the time, including source definition, whether the transmission is 720 or 1080 i or p, and whether a still image or a motion blurred one (maybe also there is a difference between LCD and Plasma but I don't have a Plasma to compare on a daily basis). So, there are degree's of difference and putting someone in front of a TV with no comparison and such confusing experiences dulls the appreciation of true HD.
