LED HDTV explosion: Sony, Sharp, LG, JVC introduce new sets

While price is a factor ...: ... dependability is more important ...

I do not mind paying 3k for a TV if it's going to last me 20 years ... I paid $800 for a Panasonic 24 years ago, and it still looks and performs great.

I will NOT pay anything more than $500 for a TV that is only going to last me 5 years.
