Why are plasma HDTVs still the minority view?

Size and Power Consumption

I think the main issues with plasmas is that they are hard to find below 50" and I would be that most TVs sold today fit into the <50" category. The other issue is power consumption. LCD technology is much more energy efficient last I checked.
