Acquisition's efficiency is its benefit.
At The Transition Companies, we believe that acquiring companies is often the most efficient and effective way to grow a company. Cisco is looking to not only grow but to shift their current strategy and begin focusing on the underused videoconferencing marketplace by purchasing Tandberg, a Norwegian based videoconferencing company. Cisco is looking to use video, through the acquisition of Tandberg, to add on to their core data business offerings. ?It is a great time to capitalize on videoconferencing as companies continue to cut back on travel and using Cisco?s existing network will allow companies to easily add this functionality to their meetings. There are definite synergies between Cisco and Tandberg they will only strengthen Cisco?s stance in the market,? says Michael Ryan, EVP of The Transition Companies.
